New England Colonies
Colonies: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut
Founded On: Religious Freedom
Economy: fishing, ship building, whaling, trading, lumber
Unique Quality or Attribute: Every town or city contained a "meeting house" in the center of the city square. The "meeting house" served as both the church and the court house. This is where the members of the town/city would gather for town/city discussions and debates over new laws.

Middle Colonies
Colonies: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware
Founded On: Religious Freedom, and Economic Opportunities
Economy: farming of wheat and other kinds of grains.
Unique Quality or Attribute: The Middle Colonies were nicknamed the "break basket" colonies. The Middle Colonies also accepted many types of religions. It would not be uncommon to have mulitple relgions in the same town/city, which was very different from the other colonies which usually only accepted one or two religions in their towns or cities.

Economy: growing indigo, cotton, tobacco, fishing, printers
Unique Quality or Attribute: Southern Colonies were known for their large plantations, or farms, and the slaves used to work those plantations. Southern Colonies were also very family oriented.
